Lotus Lantern just feels like redundant plagiarism.

Lotus Lantern: Rescue Mother is a complete waste of time, my time, your time and the developers time.

I genuinely don't get the point of this game. It's simply Hades but no where near as good. This is a step backwards in every way

Where this could have been used as an opportunity to draw inspiration from Hades, innovate and create something dynamic within the genre it simply copies.

Stereotypes are often stereotypes for a reason and unfortunately Chinese developers in general don't have the best rep in terms of originality; this game does that reputation no favors.

Its a stroke for stroke copy of Hades just transplanted from Greek mythology to a quasi-Chinese mythology. The lack of originality and innovation doesn't end there ... for some reason almost every game from China HAS to feature Sun WuKong (the monkey king) .... no idea why, its the equivalent of every western game starring Robin Hood!?

There's a wealth of historic and fictional material to draw from (Japanese devs did with Dynasty warriors etc.) but no.... Monkey King once again....

Visual style, layout, character interactions, upgrade system..everything, lifted directly from Hades.

The gameplay itself is pretty weak, infinite dash makes it a simple task to breeze through the game by simply adding almost any damage modifier to your dash.

Upgrades are, more often than not, quite uninspiring and don't make a great deal of difference to the way you approach each room; to the point where you just click the first thing that pops up because you simply don't care.

The game is available in English but the localization is pretty awful. No time or attention seems to have been spent on this aspect of the game.

The ability and tooltip text hasn't been adjusted to accommodate other languages and is often overlapping each other making it illegible.

The layout of the map barely changes, the enemies lack variety, the bosses are trivial, the story is inconsequential and I really found nothing to hold my attention engage me or compel me to play more.

Simply put, if you want a great action rougelike get Hades, if you already have Hades then you don't need this.
